ABOUT BELLA CRIA CANADIAN ALPACAS
Bella Cria Canadian Alpacas is located on two farms on Vancouver Island,
British Columbia.
Bella Cria Farm, owned by Judy Gorton is located just south of Duncan, in the
rural community of Glenora. This farm is where our herdsires, geldings and
companion animals live. This is where Judy works with the fibre to produce one
of a kind hand crafted garments and articles. She sells her paintings and other
artwork here as well.
Otter Point Farm, home of Forest Green Llamas and Alpacas, is owned by
Barrie Hanslip and is located on the southern end of the Island, just north of
Sooke. This is where our breeding program operates.
We raise these wonderful animals for their gorgeous fibre. Did you know llamas
and alpacas come in 22 natural colours, from pure bright white, through all the
shades of brown, including maroon (Judy's favourite!) to blue black?
We have available Canadian registered alpacas and llamas, male and female
fibre animals, pet quality animals and guardian llamas for sale.
One of the services we provide is weaning, which includes halter training,
handling, leading and toenail clipping. Please see the Animal Services page for

Processing the fibre and producing many different products, from raw fibre to
finished knitted and felted garments is one of our big passions. We've won
several awards for our designs and knitwear. Please see our Fibre Pages for

The Studio is filled with llama and alpaca artwork and sculpture as well as the
fibre and knitwear.
